Broadway Rejects
Standing Proud Without a Stage
Our band is built on a beautifully ridiculous idea: five friends who dreamed of writing songs and scripts for musical theatre.
But each attempt was met with a loud "NO!" Too modern, they said. Too old-fashioned. Too strange. Too sentimental. Too edgy.
So, we gave ourselves the only name that made sense—Broadway Rejects—and started writing the storylines and songs for musicals of our own creation, whether Broadway's old guard wanted us or not.
Our showtunes blend Broadway storytelling with modern pop, rock, theatrical ballads, character songs, satire, and emotional confession. Playful, dramatic, funny, heartbreaking, and often built around people trying to be understood in a world that keeps misreading them.
Do we have a shot at someday getting a big, warm hug from Broadway producers? Ha! Unlikely. But we'll keep writing and sharing our music with you. We hope you enjoy it—and maybe even tell a friend.
—Jer, Riley, Robin, Sebastian, and Ariel. We love ya!
